Our Ministry Team
Buff and Lana
LEAD PASTORS,
Our Lead Pastors, Buff and Lana Ness, came from the United States in July, 2014 to begin this work in Salinas, Ecuador. Both of them have previously been pastors in Texas and Missouri. Pastor Buff and Pastor Lana (pronounced «Lonna») both have earned doctorate degrees from Universities in the US. Pastor Lana leads the Worship Team in the English Service and both of them are able teachers of the Word of God. We call them our «pair a docs.»
Due to the growth of the congregation, COTB began having two services – English and Spanish – in 2019. The Lord continues to add to our numbers as we are faithful to serve Him.
Willy Rios and Saron
ASSOCIATE MINISTERS
Pastor Willy Rios and his worship-leading wife, Saron, joined COTB as Associate Ministers in September, 2018. Both have had extensive ministry experience through the years. Pastor Will served Youth With A Mission for 15 years as a leader and a Bible teacher. Saron has enjoyed a successful music ministry as a soloist and worship leader. This anointed couple leads the Spanish speaking congregation.
Gary and Nora Smith
ASSOCIATE MINISTERS
Pastors Gary and Nora Smith came to COTB in full time in May 2024. Previously they served as missionaries to Chile for nine years.
When they turned to the US, they served as teachers in accredited Bible School in Maryland.
Gary and nora have two grown children who are both married and in ministry.
