What We Believe

We Believe…

God
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Each is individual in person but one in unity as the Godhead. The Father is God; the Son, Jesus Christ, is God; and the Holy Spirit is God. . He is totally loving and completely holy. (Genesis1:1; Matthew 3:16,17; 28:19; John 1:1-41 John 5:7-8; Isaiah 9:6)

Jesus Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised for those who are born again. (John 1:1-4; 1 Timothy 3:16; Matthew 1:18; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Mark 16:5-6; Acts 1:9-11; John 14:3.)

The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers us to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us to live and that through the Holy Spirit we have access to spiritual gifts for the purpose of building and edifying the local church. (Mark 16:17; Acts 1:8; 2:1-4; 10:44-46; 19:1-7; 2 Peter 1:2-3; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Acts 8:14-17; Acts 10:44-48; Romans 11:29)

The Bible
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives. We believe that the Bible, made up of 66 books, is the Word of God. It is the truth, inspired by God and the way of life for all Christians. (Psalm 119; 2 Timothy 3:15-17)

Salvation
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. We believe that every person is in need of salvation and a spiritual birth to receive eternal life, and that salvation is available to every person through the life, crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives. (John 3:1-21; 14:6; Colossians 1:13-18; Romans 5:1; Ephesians 2:8-9; 2 Peter 3:9; 1 Timothy 2:3-4; 1 John 5:1-4)

The Church
We believe in the Church, the Body of Christ, as comprising all believers worldwide and throughout history. It is expressed visibly in the local assembly of Christians. It is the center of healing and spiritual growth for all believers. (Psalm 92:13,14; Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 1:22,23)

Evangelism
We believe in evangelism, that all people should be saved, and that all Christians should participate on a local and worldwide scale in that mission. (Matthew 28:18,19; Mark 16:15-18; Acts 1:8)

Baptism and Communion
We believe in water baptism for the born again person and the regular receiving of the Lord’s body and blood in the communion service. (Matthew 3:16; 28:19; Acts 8:36-39)

Healing
We believe physical healing has been bought for all through the crucified body of Jesus. (Isaiah 53:3-5; Matthew 8:16,17; 1 Peter 2:24) We believe «Jesus Christ is the Same, Yesterday, Today and Forever.» Hebrews 13:8.

The Local Church
We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and the ‘breaking of bread’.

We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfill our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live. We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and blessed lives in order to help others more effectively. Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22

Heaven and Hell
We believe that Heaven and Hell are real eternal places and that our eternal destination is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ. (Revelation 20:11-15; John 3:15-16; 14:1-4; Romans 6:23)

Marriage
We believe that marriage is a divine institution solely between a man and a woman, and should be honored as such. (Genesis 1:26-27; 2:18-25; 2:20-25; Matthew 5:16; 15:18-20; 19:3-8; Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31; Acts 3:19-21; Romans 1:26-27; 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; 6:18; 7:2-5; Ephesians 5:22-33; Philippians 2:14-16; 1 Thessalonians 5:22; Hebrews 13:4)

Sanctity of Human Life
We believe that every person, including the unborn, is important to God and has divine value and an eternal destiny given by God. We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human Life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect and value all human life. (Psalm 130; 139:13-18; John 3:16; Ephesians 1:3-6; 2:10; 16-19)

Final Authority
The statement of faith doesn’t exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final of all that we believe.

Creedal Statement

We believe in God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
and born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Christian church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
